Crowdfunding for Water

By | November 21, 2014

Wow its been a wild ride so far – getting this crowdfunding campaign together for the check dams in Tizade.  And today we launched – meaning the campaign has gone live.  You can see it here.

There are so many things to think on when fund raising in this way.  Getting the story out there is the main thing – helping people to understand just why this work with water is so important – not just for the villagers in Tizade but for us all on our beautiful planet.  For so many people water is such a huge issue.
ktichen tap

Can you imagine .. you just turn on your tap – and water flows out – but in Tizade that never happens.

Indian women can take up to six journeys a day to collect water – carrying heavy containers on their heads – sometimes over 10 kms ..just for water.
And in the dry season it is worse. And at that time it is also hot!

That’s the bare bones of the story –  for the crowd funding which probably should be renamed as Peer Funding most of the support will come from people we know and people who know them.  Can you help?

We are trusting that the principles of 6 degrees of separation can spread our campaign and our story far and wide.

This is our video which we have made for the Start Some Good campaign – we hope you will enjoy it and that it can touch your heart as the people in Tizade have done with ours.

Please support us with whatever you can – we have some great rewards on our fundraising site and if you can spread the word on Facebook, Twitter or Google+ that will be just excellent!
